Why are you holding this competition?
Having fielded requests from clubs and looking at the larger landscape of youth soccer, Missouri Youth Soccer will offer a statewide competition for the 11U & 12U age groups beginning in the spring of the 21/22 season.

This event is designed to help players and game officials on their path to a more competitive level. The focus will be creating a developmental environment that is focused on positive messaging in a competitive structure.

Game officials will also be younger referees and coach/mentors will be on hand to observe and review the games. Any coach showing dissent to a game official will be asked politely to refrain. Continued dissent and the coach will be asked to leave the playing area. 

Additionally, this competition allows the state to create seeding of the top 8 teams into the Missouri State Cup competition at 13U the following year to evenly seed teams in a better method than the previous blind-draw method.

Is a team required to play in this to qualify for participation in the 22/23 season State Cup and Midwest conference?
NO, at this time the competition is open for teams that are seeking to be SEEDED for the State Cup competition or just for a team to enter and have fun. A team that does not participate will not be refused entry for the next seasonal year.

What will be the format of the competition be for this event?
The games will 9v9 and a state roster will be required. If used for State Cup seeding the next seasonal year, team must show 9 player continuity between the seeding competition and your submitted team roster for State Cup.
