Recap of our second weekend of Missouri State Cup 2021 heading into the Semis and Finals!

Missouri State Cup Summer 2021

After a year of challenges, including a canceled 2020 Cup Series, Missouri Youth Soccer saw 140 teams enter the Summer Missouri State Cup for 2021. After two weekends of pool play and every team playing three games, 30 teams now move on to the semi-finals and finals for the upcoming Championship Weekend.

Carl Rose Soccer Academy 04 is the sole team from Springfield to move on to the semi-finals. They will play against Saint Louis Scott Gallagher Elite 04this following weekend.
Three Kansas City advancers, two of which are Alliance Futbol Club 02 and 07G, plus a Kansas City Scott Gallagher 04 side move on to face teams in the semifinals at Creve Coeur Park Soccer Complex in what looks to be an exciting albeit hot weekend of play.

The U13 boys, U13 girls and U14 girls had only two brackets, so the top team from each bracket will play a State Cup final, without a semi-final. The U13 boys final will be played between SLSG Elite and Lou Fusz Blue Star and then Sporting Saint Louis Academy and Lou Fusz Blue Star Academy will compete for the U13 girls State Cup title on Saturday. After winning all three games, scoring ten goals, and allowing only one, the U14 girls Alliance Futbol Club Academy will play against Missouri Rush in the final.

The U14 boys will wake up bright and early on Friday morning for their semi-final at 9am. J.B. Marine Academy will play Sporting Saint Louis Academy Navy. The winner of this game will go on to play either SLSG Elite or AJAX Saint Louis Bayern on Saturday.

In the U15 boys bracket, Sporting STL Academy Goddard and SLSG Premier Gold had the same amount of points, but Sporting made it to the semi-finals due to goal differential. They will play SLSG Elite at noon on Friday. J.B. Marine Mckeon and Lou Fusz Mueller will also play their semi-final at noon.

With only three brackets in the U16 boys division, Sporting STL Wipke received a wild card to the semi-finals and will play Sporting STL Academy-Collico. Lou Fusz Critchley and J.B. Marine Academy will play in the other semi-final Friday morning.

The U17 boys bracket features two non-St. Louis teams in the semi-finals. Kansas City Scott Gallagher dominated their bracket, winning all three games and allowing only one goal to be scored. They will play J.B. Marine Academy at noon on Friday. Carl Rose SA United from Springfield will play SLSG Elite at the same time.

SLSG Elite and Lou Fusz Limpert scored many goals during their pool play in the U18 boys division. SLSG Elite scored 22 goals, allowing only one goal. Lou Fusz Limpert scored 31 goals, allowing only one goal. SLSG Elite will move on to the semi-finals to play J.B. Marine Academy. Lou Fusz Limpert will play Sporting STL Academy Navy in their semi-final.

Finally, playing in a combined 19/20 bracket due to COVID last year. The Alliance FC Academy U20 boys will move on to the semi-finals after a penalty kick shootout against SLSG Premier. J.B. Marine Elite scored a goal in the last few minutes of a pool play game to tie it up against SLSG Premier, which is what sent them to the PK Shootout. Alliance FC scored all five PK goals, while SLSG Premier made only four after a big save by the Alliance goalie. Alliance will go on to play SLSG 01/02. The other semi-final will be between SLSG Elite, a team that has won all three games, scored 30 goals, allowed none, and wild card advancer Lou Fusz Black.
