The U13 girls LFA Blue Star won their final against Sporting STL Academy. Sporting scored early in the game, but LFA came back and scored four goals to clinch the Missouri State Cup Champion title.
After an intense 90 minutes of play, the U14 girls Missouri Rush beat Alliance Academy 5-4 in PKs. One Missouri Rush player’s PK was saved by the Alliance goalie, but the PK was redone after the Alliance goalie stepped off her goalie line before the kick was taken.
In the U14 boys’ bracket, both Sporting STL Academy Navy and SLSG Elite won their semi-final. After a hard-fought battle and good effort from both teams, SLSG converted very late in the championship game to win Missouri State Cup. Sporting STL will still move onto regionals after receiving a wild card.
After 110 minutes of play and one round of PKs, LFA Mueller won their semi-final Friday against J.B. Marine McKeon. J.B. Marine McKeon will still move on to Regionals after receiving a wildcard. In the other semi-final, Sporting STL Academy Goddard beat SLSG Elite 3-1 to move on. Sporting STL led the game 1-0 after a goal by Max Megargel in stoppage time in the first half. LFA rallied back and scored two goals within 10 minutes of each other to win the championship game. Both goals were scored by number 7 on LFA. Five minutes after given the State Cup trophy, LFA Mueller goalkeeper, Jack Patton accidentally shattered the trophy during his exuberant celebration.
The U16 boys LFA Critchley slid past their semi-final winning 4-0. Sporting STL Wipke beat Sporting STL Collico 1-0 to move on. In the championship game, all goals were scored in the first half. Wipke scored two goals first. After Wipke’s second goal, Critchley scored shortly after to make the game 2-1. However, no goals were scored in the second half and Sporting STL Wipke clinched the Missouri State Cup title and will move on to regionals.
The U17 boys final game consisted of two Scott Gallagher teams. One was from Kansas City and the other was from St. Louis. SLSG was up 2-0 after 18 minutes of play. KCSG Wolf scored in the middle of the second half, but SLSG came back to make it 3-1. SLSG goals were scored by Paul Valenti, Nick Taylor, Ryan Haravtin. Blake Craig scored for KCSG. KCSG will still move on to regionals after receiving a wild card along with J.B. Marine Academy Gober.

In the U19/U20 final, many college kids came back to play with old club teams after not having a State Cup tournament their senior year due to COVID-19. This championship final was the first time any Missouri State Cup final had two SLSG teams playing against one another. SLSG Elite was up 2-0. After a footrace to the ball down by the corner flag, SLSG 01/02 beat the defender to the ball and quickly slotted the ball to another player who scored and made it 2-1. In the end, SLSG Elite ended up winning 3-1. However, SLSG 01/02 automatically qualifies for the 2021 Nationals after winning National League.
