The Missouri Olympic Development Program (ODP) is seeking several qualified soccer coaches to help shape the next generation of elite youth players. There are multiple openings available for the upcoming 2026-2027 ODP Cycle:

Age Group Head Coach

Age Group Assistant Coach

ODP Staff Coach

about The PROGRAM

The mission of the Missouri Olympic Development Program (ODP) is to identify and develop the top players registered within the State of Missouri, to promote development through quality coaching and to help these players gain recognition on the Regional and National levels. ODP is supplemental to what players experience in their other soccer environments (club, high school, etc).

For our players, we preach that playing with those of equal or greater ability is a tremendous teaching tool; one that will allow for maximum growth and development. That same sentiment applies to our coaches as well. ODP provides both players and coaches the opportunity to challenge themselves, while also representing their state, region and nation!

about The roles

Ensuring a safe, inclusive, and positive training environment is a primary expectation of Missouri ODP. These part-time roles center on training, evaluating, and advancing top talent in alignment with state and national Olympic Development Program standards.

Missouri ODP Head Coaches and Assistant Coaches plan and deliver high quality training sessions that follow the established ODP curriculum and developmental objectives. In addition to leading structured, high intensity sessions, coaches will evaluate players for inclusion in state pools, regional events, and other competitive selections.

The ODP Staff Coach role includes supporting key program events such as tryouts, camps, state team competitions, and regional or national ODP functions. Coaches will be responsible for providing constructive, development focused feedback to both players and parents, while maintaining clear communication with program directors, fellow coaches, and administrative staff.

Administrative responsibilities for all roles include managing player evaluations, training session reports, and attendance records, as well as representing the program professionally at all training sessions and competitions.

Requirements

These roles are designed for experienced coaches who thrive in competitive environments and are committed to long-term player development, as well as their personal development as coaches. Applicants must hold a minimum of a USSF D License and have prior experience coaching competitive youth soccer. Must have strong understanding of player development principles for athletes ages 12 to 17 is required, along with the ability to deliver organized and demanding training sessions.

The position follows a part time, event based schedule, typically during evenings and weekends. Compensation will be determined based on applicant’s coaching experience, license level and state association guidelines.

how to apply

Please complete the form linked below to register your interest in one of the positions noted above. If you have any questions about the roles or ODP in general, please reach out to ODP@moyouthsoccer.org.
