150+ MISSOURI PLAYERS SELECTED TO ATTEND MIDWEST REGION ODP CAMP

The Missouri Olympic Development Program (ODP) is proud to recognize and celebrate more than 150 talented players who have been selected to represent the state at the upcoming US Youth Soccer (USYS) ODP Midwest Summer ID Event.

This prestigious event will take place in Rockford, Illinois, bringing together top players from across the Midwest Region for high-level training and evaluation. Event dates are as follows:

  • Girls: July 6 – 8, 2026
  • Boys: July 10 – 12, 2026

The Midwest Summer ID Event serves as a critical step in the ODP pathway, providing players with the opportunity to showcase their abilities in front of regional staff and compete alongside the best in their age groups.

From this event, a select group of standout players will earn invitations to attend the USYS ODP Interregional Event, one of the most competitive and visible stages in the ODP program. The Interregional Event will be held at the Omni Hotel in ChampionsGate, Florida, on the following dates:

  • Girls: November 21 – 25, 2026
  • Boys: January 14 – 18, 2027

Player selections for the Interregional Event will be announced shortly after the Midwest ID Event:

  • Girls selections announced: August 10, 2026
  • Boys selections announced: August 17, 2026

Missouri ODP continues to demonstrate its strength and depth of talent, with this year’s group representing one of the largest contingents in recent history. These athletes have earned their place through dedication, performance, and a commitment to development, both on and off the field.

We congratulate all selected players and wish them the best of luck as they represent Missouri on the regional stage. Their journey reflects the core mission of ODP: to identify, develop, and inspire the next generation of elite soccer players.

Missouri Players Selected To Represent ODP National Teams

Elite players from around the United States have been chosen to represent the USYS ODP in various competitions this spring.
Of which, we are proud to announce that 12 Missouri players were selected to their respective USYS ODP National Teams!

The selection of players will participate in upcoming events in Spain, Portugal, Italy, and the Easter International Cup in Orlando, Florida. The selection was a comprehensive process centered around their performances in various ODP events that took place during the 2024/25 seasonal year and the Fall 2025 season.

In addition to individual skill assessments, the players’ ability to work within a team dynamic and their contributions to collective gameplay also played a crucial role. This holistic approach not only ensured a selection of highly skilled players but also fostered a strong team ethic vital for competing against high-level opponents.

With this rigorous selection process, the chosen players are now set to take on some formidable teams in internationally recognized competitions, providing them with valuable experience and growth opportunities on the global stage.

about The PROGRAM

The mission of the Missouri Olympic Development Program (ODP) is to identify and develop the top players registered within the State of Missouri, to promote development through quality coaching and to help these players gain recognition on the Regional and National levels. ODP is supplemental to what players experience in their other soccer environments (club, high school, etc).

For our players, we preach that playing with those of equal or greater ability is a tremendous teaching tool; one that will allow for maximum growth and development. That same sentiment applies to our coaches as well. ODP provides both players and coaches the opportunity to challenge themselves, while also representing their state, region and nation!

about The roles

Ensuring a safe, inclusive, and positive training environment is a primary expectation of Missouri ODP. These part-time roles center on training, evaluating, and advancing top talent in alignment with state and national Olympic Development Program standards.

Missouri ODP Head Coaches and Assistant Coaches plan and deliver high quality training sessions that follow the established ODP curriculum and developmental objectives. In addition to leading structured, high intensity sessions, coaches will evaluate players for inclusion in state pools, regional events, and other competitive selections.

The ODP Staff Coach role includes supporting key program events such as tryouts, camps, state team competitions, and regional or national ODP functions. Coaches will be responsible for providing constructive, development focused feedback to both players and parents, while maintaining clear communication with program directors, fellow coaches, and administrative staff.

Administrative responsibilities for all roles include managing player evaluations, training session reports, and attendance records, as well as representing the program professionally at all training sessions and competitions.

Requirements

These roles are designed for experienced coaches who thrive in competitive environments and are committed to long-term player development, as well as their personal development as coaches. Applicants must hold a minimum of a USSF D License and have prior experience coaching competitive youth soccer. Must have strong understanding of player development principles for athletes ages 12 to 17 is required, along with the ability to deliver organized and demanding training sessions.

The position follows a part time, event based schedule, typically during evenings and weekends. Compensation will be determined based on applicant’s coaching experience, license level and state association guidelines.

how to apply

Please complete the form linked below to register your interest in one of the positions noted above. If you have any questions about the roles or ODP in general, please reach out to ODP@moyouthsoccer.org.
